Where is Online Banking 2.0?

Why can Google store all emails I ever got, all web searches I ever did and by bank can save only my financial data from the last 120 days? (Which is about 30 lines and 10 columns). It's a ridiculous task to export every three month my online banking record as a CSV file, import it in excel and glue it to the end of my past file. If I ever miss this, there is no way to get old financial data.

I am really waiting for online banking 2.0, where I can store all my data forever, perform sorting and trend analysis and maybe can even click on the products I bought or add comments.

  1. in fact there is a way to get the old data (at least for my bank) - it only costs money. For my bank its 2€ to access one of the older files ... which - I presume - explains why you can't access all files ... the bank wants to earn money!
